June is all about celebrating inclusion, equality, and love in the LGBTQ+ community and we couldn't be more jazzed. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, a rebellion led by LGBTQ people and one of the catalysts for the gay rights movement in the United States and around the world. For our Bay Area friends looking to celebrate all month long, we have a few bonus events from our friends at SF Pride and Dykes with Drills.
NuReality Productions and the San Francisco Pride Board of Directors are hosting a joint fundraiser on Saturday, June 8th. This event will support the completion of the feature documentary, Mrs. Vera’s Daybook, as well as support the upcoming 49th Annual San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration and Parade. Double bonus, you'll get a special preview of the film and an opportunity to meet the stars!

Great storytelling is the best way to capture the attention, hearts, and minds of any nonprofit's supporters. While the thought of finding compelling stories and then mastering various digital outlets to showcase them may create some anxiety, with the right strategy it's completely attainable. An overabundance of data, more acronyms than you can count, and endless white papers still have their purpose, but this top-down approach isn't where real change happens. We need fewer theories of change and more community organizing offers some great tips on how your nonprofit can benefit from grassroots collaboration.
