The stunning results of #GivingTuesday 2019 demonstrate the incredible power of generosity when people come together. In just 24 hours, folks across the US donated over $500 million online and almost $2 billion when you include projected offline donations.
Giving Tuesday turned 7 on, you guest it, Tuesday December 3rd, 2019 after coming into existence in 2012. In 2019, causes took the day and folks across the US and the globe donated en mass. The results are stunning. Regardless of not knowing exactly where all these funds went, the results of #GivingTuesday 2019 demonstrate the incredible power of generosity when people come together. At DiveIn, we had the privilege of spotlighting a few of our amazing Bay Area partners, such as Beyond Differences, The Women's Building, and Golden Gate Audubon Society. The Cheetah Conservation Fund, where I serve as a trustee, also had a successful #GivingTuesday through a matching campaign with makeup brand Chantecaille.

$511 million donated online is 24 hours is definitely the new record. It's a 28% increase from 2018, when a total of $400 million was donated. Thanks to everyone who gave on #GivingTuesday 2019, whether it was dollars, time, or simply gave kindness. You help make the world a better place.
